Strong Start for Macorna Tigers

What a start to the 2021 season by the Macorna Tigers. 

After record numbers and a huge pre-season which saw loads of new faces to the club, the senior netball teams and Under 17 team came away victorious against the Hay Lions at the weekend. 

A Grade saw a highly anticipated match which had it all. Macorna’s defensive end is one not to be messed with as the side includes 187cm Erin Delahunty to the GK bib. Other outstanding players for the day were Jasmine Williams and Renee Deason, both new to the black and yellow this season. Macorna 39 to Hay 32. 

The B Grade sees a lot of Macorna’s old and some new. The ball was moving freely down the court for both teams in what ended being a close finish. Leeza Wishart was strong and accompanied by Kara Farrell in the best. Macorna 30 to Hay 29. 

B Reserve team took away the biggest win for the day in what was a great team effort. Hayley Forster and Robyn Parker came away with awards. Macorna 52 to Hay 17.
