The Leitchville Gunbower Bombers welcomed seven new recruits this year with Will O’Shea, Matt McLellan and Darcy Bruns playing their first senior games. Rhys Bradley, Brett Johnson, Nath McLellan and coach, Cam Van Florestein, all played their first games with the club.

Eight debutantes were unveiled, with strong family connections to the club. Players were presented with their jumpers prior to the start of the Senior match in round one. After coming through the LG junior football development program, Austin Windridge, Zeb Ellwood, Billy Hawken, Harry Wright and James Barrat were presented with their jumpers from their parents. Darcy Bruns, Will O’Shea and Matt McLellan were also presented with their jumpers from their parents. Not only are these players new recruits, they all have family history with the LG club.

The club also welcomed new players and their families, Reece and Bryce Bethune, Dean Howard, Brad Baker, Bevan Taylor, Darryl ‘Jonah’ Jones, Tim Tuena, Jono Morphett, Josh Ball and Will Moyle.

A new initiative this year sees a reciprocal membership arrangement with the Cohuna Kangas and Pyramid Hill Bulldogs. Not only will a Bombers’ membership get you in the gate for all of the Bombers’ home games, you can also go and watch the Kangas and Bulldogs at all of their home games too. See Ross Hay to secure your membership.
