Ute and Truck Clipped

A ute was spun around after it side clipped a B-double truck on the Murray Valley Highway at Cohuna on Friday.

The ute was towing a trailer and heading into the Cohuna township on the Murray Valley Highway between Vallences Road and Channel Street when it made contact with an oncoming B-double truck. The ute and trailer were spun around and jack-knifed.

The truck sustained damage to wheels on both trailers and the ute lost its front wheel and sustained considerable damage along the length of its right side.

Occupants of both vehicles were uninjured, however, a dog travelling in the tray of the ute was fatally wounded.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
