The Winter Solstice
Much snow has already fallen on the Australian Alps this winter and the skiers are loving it! This photo (taken by me a while ago now) is taken near the base of Mt Buller with it rising 1,805 metres into the sky in the background. Nearly a metre of snow has fallen in the last two weeks – the first two weeks of winter – the best start for 22 years!
