A solemn service was held to commemorate Remembrance Day on Saturday, November 11 at Memorial Park in Cohuna.
Despite the heat, over a hundred people attended the service, including RSL members and their families, community group and school representatives, and residents.
Cohuna-Leitchville RSL Sub-Branch president Geoff Dale led the service, which included readings by school students, and in his first public appearance since being sworn in as mayor, Gannawarra Shire Council Mayor Ross Stanton as guest speaker.

Wreaths were laid by community representatives and the service concluded with a powerful rendition of Advance Australia Fair by Rachael Warren, who stepped up to sing when the P.A. system failed.
The field of crosses, always a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our local men and women during World War I and II, was laid out on the adjacent lawn.
