One day at a local church activity I observed a team of young people pulling together on a rope in a “tug-of-war” competition. They smiled, they laughed, they encouraged each other and then they grimaced as they strained with all their might as they began pulling together on their half of the rope against opponents on the other end of the rope. Suddenly there was celebration as the umpire declared this same group the winners!
