Police Report - September 17, 2026

BULOKE

Burglary: Between 1.30pm on Sunday the 6th of September and 7am the following day, offenders have forced entry to a warehouse in Kaye Street Charlton. 11 drums of black rubber cabling and rolls of orange cabling have been reported stolen with an estimated value of over $10,000.

Burglary: Between 4pm on Wednesday the 9th of September and 9am the following day, offenders have attended a property on Single Tree Road, Massey. It appears the offender’s forced entry to a shipping container and a tractor guidance GPS, a welder and helmet appears to have been stolen.

Burglary: In the early hours of Sunday the 13th of September, police attended a home in Sutcliffe Street Sea Lake to investigate a burglary. Police attended a nearby address and arrested a 49 year old male after allegedly stolen items were located at his property. He was bailed to attend court at a later date.

SWAN HILL

Burglary: Between Saturday the 5th of September and Thursday, the 10th,  it appears offenders have gained entry to a home in Barnett Street Swan Hill. Personal documentation was reported stolen from the address.

Theft from motor vehicle: Between 11pm on Wednesday the 9th of September and 5.30am the following day, a “Red Tiger” branded dashcam has been stolen from a vehicle parked out the front of an address in Tower Hill Swan Hill.

Carjacking: At about 11.20am on Wednesday the 9th of September, the victim was travelling on the Murray Valley Highway north of Beverford when she pulled over after seeing a vehicle on the side of the road which appeared to have broken down. The person with that vehicle made threats to the victim, wanting her vehicle. As she was trying to remove her 7-month-old infant from her vehicle, the male has started to drive off, dragging her along for a short distance. A short distance up the road, the victim’s vehicle pulled over and the infant was placed on the side of the highway. A short time later a passer-by located the infant, and the mother and child were reunited. The victim sustained minor injuries and the child was unhurt. It was later found the vehicle that had broken-down vehicle had been stolen from a paddock earlier. At about 6.30pm on the same day, a John Deere tractor was reported stolen from a property on Chillingollah Road Pira. It was seen travelling through paddocks and damaging fences.  Police were advised and began patrolling the area. At about 11.30pm that night, the tractor was located at an address in Church Road Woorinen. At that location, a 51-year-old male was arrested. It is alleged that the same male is responsible for committing the earlier offences. He was charged with offences including the theft of the motor vehicles and carjacking. He has been remanded in custody to appear in court in December. The victim’s vehicle was located in the Pira area at 7am the following day.
