Theft from motor vehicle and criminal damage – Kerang

A staff member of Arnoldt and Greenwood Car Dealership was walking through the car yard on Thursday, May 9 around 8.30am when he noticed all four wheels missing from a blue Holden VE SV6 Commodore. The vehicle, which was parked at the rear of the premises, had been propped up on bricks.

A review of CCTV footage showed that after midnight that morning, unknown offender(s) were seen walking on the footpath of the back of the car yard on Muir Avenue pointing torches into the same.

At about 1am, a vehicle that appears to be a utility was also seen driving slowly on Muir Avenue towards the Murray Valley Highway. The offender(s) has then returned and CCTV captures a male wearing shorts, hoodie and a head torch.

The offender(s) has gained access into the car yard by cutting a hole of approximately a metre square in the wire fence next to the gate on Muir Avenue. The value of tyres and repairs to the fence total approximately $500.

Police are interested in hearing from anyone who has information on what has occurred.

Theft of motor vehicle – Leitchville

On Sunday, May 12 at approximately 5.30am, the victim, a dairy farmer in Leitchville, has awoken to go to work and noticed his vehicle missing from the driveway of the farm property.

He noticed his keys missing from where he had left them the night before. There were no visible signs of forced entry into the house. Victim stated the back door is not very secure and it is possible offenders may have gained entry via there.

His closest neighbours heard their own dog barking at around midnight, which he stated was unusual.

The stolen vehicle is a silver 2023 Toyota Hilux dual cab ute with a black ARB bull bar and black steel tray. The vehicle was bearing Vic registration plates CPR-761.
