Victoria Police

GANNAWARRA

Kerang

  • An accused person was released on parole and was to reside at a Kerang address with a nighttime curfew. A ‘fitted’ electronic monitoring device indicated that this curfew was being breached. Parolee was arrested and went back to custody. Parole Board and police will act if enforced curfews are being breached; it is a simple requirement for the parolee. 
  • On June 19, the rider of an e-bike parked it outside a licensed premises in Victoria Street. A short time later, a male person (thief) was seen riding the bike away. This male was identified and arrested a day later. The e-bike was returned to its owner. Note: lock your bike when you are shopping or leaving it in a public place.
  • On June 20, a female offender was in a Kerang supermarket, where she selected a chocolate bar and placed it in her pocket. She exited the store without paying for same. The offender has been identified and will be arrested in due course. 

Koondrook

  • Police were called to a Koondrook address on June 7 regarding a non-suspicious death. The deceased’s friend, who co-habitats with him, invited police into the home to visit the scene. While inside the house, police located an amount of cannabis in a public area of the house. This male was interviewed re possession of cannabis.
