Gannawarra Shire - Kerang

  • On May 28 at about 4.50pm, a female drives into a Wellington Street petrol station and puts a total of $75 of fuel in her car. Female gets back into car. Petrol station attendant comes out and stands in front of vehicle asking driver to step out of car and pay for fuel. Female driver quickly reverses vehicle and then drives off. All details caught on CCTV. Offender identified and known to be living in Kerang and will be arrested. 
  • During the day on May 24, offender/s have entered a Carbine Street address via a back rear bedroom. Offenders have ripped out flywire and then wound out window to gain entry. Offender/s have stolen an amount of coins that the owner had been saving. (Please be mindful to secure all points of entry to your house.)
  • On May 19, a search warrant was executed at a Walker Road address. Several firearms were located in the house, not secured. A quantity of ammunition was located strewn about the house.  An imitation firearm was also located. During this search, a quantity of drugs of various types were located and seized. The male offender was arrested and conveyed to Kerang Police Station. He was bailed to Kerang Court. (Reminder, if you have a firearm, you need to have the appropriate licence.  You need to have proper storage of firearms. Severe penalties apply for failing to comply.)
