Police Report - August 13, 2026
SWAN HILL
Theft: Between 11pm on Saturday the 8th of August and 6pm the following day, a wallet containing bank cards has been misplaced, possibly stolen from a vehicle. The cards have been used to make unauthorised purchases.
GANNAWARRA
Trailer theft: in the early hours of Sunday the 2nd of August, a trailer was stolen from church grounds in Nullawil, it was located later that same day in Malmsbury. A 41 year old from the Box Hill area was arrested at that location, charged and bailed to attend court at a later date.
TRAFFIC
Update on June Collision: At about 2am on Monday the 15th of June this year, a vehicle with 5 occupants, was travelling along Murrabit Street Kerang. The vehicle left the road and collided with a tree. All occupants sustained injuries with the driver and two passengers sustaining fractures, one passenger suffering from concussion and the other bruising. Given the injuries sustained and surgeries required in some instances, police were unable to interview the driver until last week. On Wednesday the 5th of August, the 33 year old probationary driver from Kerang was interviewed and charged with driving at a dangerous speed causing a serious injury two counts, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, fail to have proper control of the vehicle and driving with above the prescribed concentration of alcohol (0.048) in his blood. His licence was immediately suspended. He was bailed to attend court at a later date.
