About 11.50PM Thursday 10/04/2025 police were called to a road crash at Murray Street / Noorong Street, Barham. A vehicle has travelled west along Murray Street when it left the roadway crossing onto the footpath and hit a building before crashing through a residential fence and coming to a stop in the rear yard of a residential property. A 34-year-old Victorian man was subsequently spoken to by police on 12/04/2025. The man was issued a traffic infringement notice for negligent driving and not give particulars to owner of damaged property.
Between 8.30PM Friday 04/04/2025 and 8.30AM Saturday 05/04/2025 a shed at a residential premises in MCCONNELL Place, Barham was broken into with a mountain bike, power tools and an amount of money taken. Easter / School Holidays
Police remind motorists to take care on the roads as we are now approaching the Easter Holiday break. School holidays are now in place and with an Easter Holiday break long weekend coming up, its timely to remind drivers to take extra care on the roads. Double demerits will be in place between 17 April 2025 and 21 April 2025. Remember if you are on the roads, drive to the conditions, allow more time and take plenty of breaks if going on a long journey and expect a lot of traffic around on the roads. Have a great school holiday and Easter break but don’t be a bunny. Follow the rules and keep everyone safe.
GANNAWARRA
House fire: At about 2am on Sunday the 13th of April, the CFA were called to a home in Gunbower Parade Koondrook. The home at that location was fully engulfed in fire. The home was vacant at the time. The cause of the fire has not been determined but is being treated as suspicious and is being investigated by Swan Hill detectives.
Theft: Between 6.30pm on Saturday and 7.30am the following day, offenders have attended a property in Farrant Court Cohuna. At that location they have stolen a Husqvarna chainsaw from a ute, a paslode fixing gun and a Milwaukee tool kit from the carport.
