On this day – July 7, 1950 (74 years ago), the Argus (page 10) reported that students from Cohuna Consolidated School sent 10 cases of oranges from Murrabit Packing Company to the students of Gateside Junior Secondary School, Cambuslang, Lanarkshire in Scotland. The local students had previously sent 2cwt of barley sugar to Scotland, and had received books in return
