The NSW Government has cancelled regional and suburban newspapers after a restructure.
The papers had previously been supplied by NSW publishers as a Legal Deposit.
Gone is the ability for politicians to grab a paper from the library and look at a broad local issue or get a feel for a region. Going forward, NSW Government will be relying on Streem, a media monitoring service that uses key phrases to gather content.
Country Press NSW is yet to receive confirmation that any or all of the rural papers it represents will be included in the media sampled by Streem.
