The first of two debutante balls for 2021 was held at the Memorial Hall on Friday evening with 13 young ladies making their debut. Year 12 students were given the opportunity to debut this year after their scheduled 2020 debutante ball was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Debutantes and their partners undertook a 10-week training schedule under the instruction of Jo Dehne and John Hawken. On the evening, an abridged version of the presentation was conducted for extended family and friends, followed by the main event which was live streamed for the first time to cater for those unable to attend due to the cap on audience attendance.
Year 11 students will soon begin dance training for their ball which will be held on June 25.
