On Saturday, the Koondrook Barham B Grade cricket team was short on players when they played against Sea Lake Woomelang at Sea Lake. Eric Lake, however, stepped up to the challenge and strapped on his pads.

Despite coming to the crease at the bottom of the order, Lake looked comfortable on the pitch after Koondrook Barham had five consecutive ducks. He faced 36 balls and scored five runs before being bowled by Joel Donnan from Sea Lake Woomelang. Joel Donnan captured four wickets with his four overs and three balls. He had a maiden, five wide deliveries and conceded eight runs.

With two runs needed for victory, Sea Lake Woomelang managed to win the match by just one run.

Koondrook Barham B Grade team will face the Lakers at Koondrook on Saturday.
