“You cannot suffer the past, or the future because they do not exist. What you are suffering is your memory or imagination.” – Sadhguru.

I understand the logic and agree with the statement, but in practice I have varied success. 

My current life choices seem at times at odds with the ideal conditions to foster such an existence, or is that just a limiting belief I hold? 

Truth be told I already know people currently, and historically, that have had the ability to remain fully present in trickier situations than I find myself in.

That begs the question what other limiting beliefs do I also hold that my mind continues to recite but probably needs to be challenged?

Providing it adheres to what I consider universal guiding principles, i.e. us all being equal worth and having fundamental elements of compassion and love.  

Sadly, I don’t always follow my ideal principles. I make wrong choices often. I may act on emotion like fear, hurt and pride or maybe, just not fully present. There’s room for me to grow, to learn from these instances and to make better choices. 

And to do that I have to be present and not dwell in the past or future, 

Basically we all have issues.
