Murray Raiders Lead

Murrabit hosted the Under 16s cricket match between Murray Raiders and Northern Razorbacks on Friday night, in overcast conditions. Murray Raiders won the toss and elected to bat first. 

In Under 16s cricket, each team plays for 20 overs a week, and a match lasts for two weeks. After 20 overs, the Murray Raiders had scored 72 runs, with Max Snowdon (22) and Clay Watts (15) at the crease not out. Archie Mitchell from Northern Razorbacks captured two wickets with the ball, and Finn Lyons captured one. Wicketkeeper Issy Boulton made a catch, and Finn Lyons and Gus Mitchell made catches in the field.

Northern Razorbacks' Max Thompson (43) was just shy of a half-century when a delivery from Ryder Laursen allowed Clay Watts to make a catch. Riley D'Silva bowled Archie Mitchell (5), and Caleb Ralston bowled Finn Lyons for a duck. 

The evening became dark and the game was paused at 15 overs, with the Northern Razorbacks having scored 66 runs for the loss of three wickets. The match will continue at Murrabit on Friday night.
