Murray River Council is partnering with local podcast ‘Spreading the Good Stuff’ to present a four-part conversation series for this year’s NSW Small Business Month Festival.
Spreading the Good Stuff is a podcast created by local business owners that shares stories of triumph, challenge, growth and change to empower regional men and women who want to thrive in their work, wellness, family and community.
The Small Business Month podcasts will showcase candid conversations with local business owners and feature helpful insights on how they do business and how they prosper through times of change.
A variety of topics will be covered, including:
- Building your brand online
- Tips to support small businesses to stay positive, reinvent and future-proof their offerings;
- Helpful advice and case study examples of how businesses can support each other and prosper together during times of change and challenge;
- Financial foundations - assistance with identifying and navigating government and community grants programs, understanding your financial position and the viability of your business, creating and implementing an action plan to work towards your business goals.
The series will be available for free download as each podcast drops throughout October 2020.
Podcasts will also be recorded as videos available to watch on Council's digital platforms.
Murray River Council mayor, Chris Bilkey said the podcasts are specifically tailored for the local small business community.
“The podcast series is a great platform to celebrate our small business sector and provide them with necessary skills to reboot.”
“Our businesses have been heavily impacted by ongoing drought conditions and the COVID-19 pandemic, so we hope this series will at the least help drive business confidence as they hit the road to recovery.”
“I’d encourage people to have a listen and hear stories from other local businesses as they share their tips on how to grow, adapt and thrive,” he said.
Council said they will also be seeking the community’s feedback on the podcast series and suggestions of other initiatives that may connect the local small business community at this time.
