Merry Christmas

‘Tis the time of the year when life hits top gear,

The mad rush and scramble, nothing like a holiday preamble.

Are the presents done, or the menus set?

Have the kids cleaned their crap off the deck?

It’s at this point I wonder what’s it all for?

Running around till I collapse on the floor.

Surely, it’s time for family, friends and fun!

But wait, have we got it all done?

Santa’s decided to hell with the rush,

He’s not sure why they’re making a fuss.

Swapping snow for the sun and his sack for a rod,

Santa’s happier trading reindeer for cod!

Remember, dear friends, to stop and to breathe,

Give thanks and rejoice for the sun and the breeze.
