About 1 in 4 young Australians experience a common mental illness each year and a free training course in Barham on April 27 and 28 aims to teach practical skills to support an adolescent with a mental health problem. 

The Youth Mental Health First Aid training will teach participants to 

  • Recognise common mental health problems in young people
  • Provide initial help using practical, evidence-based action plan
  • Seek appropriate professional help, and
  • Respond to crisis situation

April 27 and 28 from 9am – 5pm at the Barham Recreation Reserve.
