Cohuna’s Marty Hore has been named as one of the 40 shortlisted football players in contention for the 2022 Smithy’s VFL Team of the Year.
Originally drafted to the AFL’s Melbourne Football Club, he has also played for Collingwood in the VFL before moving to North Melbourne. The defender is the only North Melbourne player to be shortlisted.
Marty averaged 26.3 disposals, 7.6 marks, 10.6 rebound 50s, 1.1 tackles and 6.9 handballs from 18 games this season.
The final team will be announced on September 12 during the 2022 VFL and VFLW Awards.
