Koondrook Swimming Pool official opening makes a splash!

Koondrook Swimming Pool committee was thrilled to welcome a great turnout to the official opening of the pool on Sunday.

Free entry, free barbecue and lots of giveaways were a major drawcard to the opening, but it was the perfect weather conditions that kept attendees in the water. The kiosk did a roaring trade keeping hungry swimmers fed and hydrated with the signature ‘swimmer’s indulgence’ of hot chips, ice creams and a can of soft drink. 

Numbers were so high at the opening that extra lifeguards had to be called in to ensure everybody’s safety, and what a fantastic job they did keeping an eye on everyone.
