Historical Building Works Progress

There has been further work on the building renovations of the Baptist Church located on the property of the Historical Society at Punt Road, Koondrook. 

The disability access ramp has now been installed to the side door of the former Baptist Church building, steps have been installed leading to the front door and a new pedestrian gate installed with a concrete path leading up to the ramp and steps. 

The funding of $70,000 through the Australian Government’s Drought Communities Programme – Extension, with support from the Gannawarra Shire, and the Koondrook Development Committee, has certainly been well spent.

It is planned to have an official opening of the Church building sometime in the middle of 2021 but this, of course, is dependent on the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
