Grand Opening Friday

The official opening and renaming of the Stan Roberts Multipurpose Facility will take place on Friday at 1pm. The former Koondrook Baptist Church was gifted to the Barham Koondrook Historical Society by the late Stan Roberts two decades ago.

Through hard work and dedication, the generous gift from a community-minded man has been painstakingly restored by the Barham Koondrook Historical Society. From restumping, to resanding and sealing the floor and to internal painting, the restored space will provide tremendous benefit to the society. 

The church was originally moved from Teal Point to Koondrook in the 1900s and will now live on to benefit the community.

Roberts family members will travel from across Victoria to attend Friday’s opening. Light entertainment, food and drink are provided.
