The Cohuna district raised $11,219 for this year’s Good Friday Appeal. Organiser, Maree Purton, from the Cohuna Lions Club, said that most of the town was canvassed by door knockers, and this was combined with collection tins in shops, online donations and a raffle.
Leitchville raised a massive $15,062 and Gunbower $1,253.
The final tally for the appeal is $23,061,320 with $2.9m of this from regional Victoria.
