Are you ready for a night of comedy, music, banter and bevies?
Four events are being held across the Basin; Barham-Koondrook Friday, May 7, Blighty Saturday, May 8, Moulamein Friday, May 21 and Menindee Saturday, May 22 utilising money donated to Lloyd’s Walk for Water and the generosity of The Australian Horizons Foundation and BEEFitUp Australia.
Feature artist on the nights will be Jason Singh, lead singer of TAXIRIDE, along with Tim, Flemmo and Huc Richards. The silly bugger who walked 303km for water awareness, Lloyd Polkinghorne, will also be there!
Jason Singh is about to head out on one of the biggest tours he has ever done. He jumped at the chance to help these rural communities!
“I’m looking forward to it, I’ve never been to some of those towns,” said Jason
“It’s a good way to bring some attention back to the actual issues.”
Jason’s full tour starts this Friday taking in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.
Jason’s tour was planned for an earlier date but after the challenges of 2020 the tour had to be pushed back.
“I put my guitars down for a while and picked up my tools again. I started building myself a studio out the back of my place, renovated the bathrooms and put in some retaining walls in the backyard.
“Turns out I’ve still got some skill.
“I had to do something to keep my hands busy, I was having some highs and lows.”
The time off also presented some opportunities for Jason.
“In a way it gave me all this time to remind me what a great career I’ve had and to reflect on it.
“When you’re out and doing it, you don’t really understand how amazing it is, because you’re in the moment.
“This tour is about reflecting on all the great stuff I did with TAXIRIDE but also some of the stuff I’ve done afterwards.”
Jason is excited to get out to these rural towns.
“These little towns are the veins of Australia; they are the true heart and soul of the country.
“I don’t mind getting in the car and driving five and half hours for a show.”
