On the evening of April 8 at Riverside Park, Barham, the Barham Koondrook Lions Club held an Easter Mardi Gras. We wished to welcome all local families and visitors to join in and enjoy time together.
Catering on the evening, which included a barbecue, soft drink or juice, fairy floss and popcorn, was supplied free of charge to all who participated.
An assortment of games was set up around the park for amusements such as giant chess, planks and ladders, trouble, mini golf, sinska sticks (pin thrown to hit other pins over and score), frisbee throw and net and card flicking games to name a few. Then came the races, egg and spoon, three legged and sack races for all age groups, yes ALL, even adults. The cheering and laughing was magical. Easter eggs were given to all contestants for having a go! Well done.
The Easter egg raffle winners for the Lions Club raffle were 1st Neil Pickles and 2nd Craig Palien.
A great night was had by all. Thank you to the loyal husbands, wives, family members and friends that volunteered their time to help our Lions group. Also Phil and Emma, thank you for donating the orange juice. Thank you to all our members for making the night a great success, well done.
