I got caught short one night on the way to the toilet and peed on the hallway carpet. I forgot I’d done it, and in the morning, Mum belted the dog with the broom thinking it was her. She’s never been allowed inside since, and she did nothing wrong…

I was running some errands in town one day and my friend asked me if I could pay her phone bill for her. I was doing it pretty tough at the time, and instead of paying her bill, I put the money in the pokies to try to win back some money to pay off a debt I owed. She had her phone cut off for not paying the bill, and I never admitted to not paying it. Worse still, I helped her write a letter to the ombudsman saying it must have been an error at their end. To this day she doesn’t know and we’re still friends…
