The Cohuna Show will go ahead this Saturday only, with the focus on competitions held across several areas. Organisers were forced to scale back the event to safely abide by current COVID-19 regulations, and reluctantly cut back all entertainment, including sideshows. Access to the grounds is restricted to financial members of the society and there will be no general admission.

High numbers of entries have been received in the cattle, dog and horse sections, which all took pre-entries online only. Pavilion entries are limited to the horticulture section (all classes) and classes that are qualifiers for NDASA regional and VAS Ltd state competitions. The pavilion will be open for viewing on Saturday.

Entries for the pavilion and poultry sections will be accepted until 10am on Friday, March 19 and can be submitted at the show office in King Edward St up until Thursday morning, and then at the show grounds on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. Schedules can be downloaded from the Cohuna Show website at www.cohunashow.com

Despite not having entertainment and all the extra thrills and spills that visitors usually expect from the show, the Cohuna A. P. & H. Society is keen to at least provide the long-awaited competitions that many exhibitors have missed over the past 12 months.

Exhibitors and visitors are asked to self-assess for COVID-19 symptoms and stay home if necessary. The event will be a COVIDSafe event, and everyone is asked to be patient as these are implemented.
