Cohuna Lions Launch Toy Run Donation
Lions Club President of Cohuna Anthony Troy (left) presents event organiser John Webb a cheque for $2000 to kick off this year’s donations for the Gannawarra Memorial Toy Run.

By Lee Walkington - Secretary of the Lions Club of Cohuna Inc.

This year is like no other and has so far affected many businesses and community organisations.

Gannawarra Memorial Toy Run is no exception. Raising funds this year will be so much harder with social distancing and COVID-19 restrictions in place.

Because of all that has happened, more families are going to need a little extra help to get through the Christmas period.

Members of the public can still donate, via the Gannawarra Memorial Toy Run Facebook page.

Members of the Lions Club of Cohuna won’t be able to cook our usual BBQ to help raise funds, so we decided to kick start this year’s donations with a cheque for $2,000. We encourage all other clubs or organisations to support this much needed and appreciated event.

Toys can be left at the collection bins around Cohuna & Leitchville, all details on their Facebook site.

Help them to make a difference, particularly, this year:  www.facebook.com/officialgannawarratoyrun
