The heat on Saturday was something else. Clearly, we were not conditioned for the humidity and 38°C felt so much hotter. This week the Seniors hosted Koondrook with some quality tennis being played. In the juniors Cohuna Blue were also at home; going down by just one game. Cohuna Gold had a four-game win over Kerang at Kerang.
Junior development squad tennis is underway and everyone is welcome to attend. The club now runs “Hotshots” tennis for our junior group and skills training for the older juniors all commencing at 9:00am on Saturday mornings. The club has spare racquets and the cost is $3 for a Saturday session.
Another great evening at Twilight Tennis on Tuesday with all players enjoying the hit-outs. Twilight runs on a Tuesday night from 6pm.
Round 4 – Seniors (Cohuna Vs Koondrook)
The men’s sets went in favour of Cohuna 3-0 with a 25 -17 game lead. The women’s held strong however only managed 1 set from their three, with a 19-21 games result. Down to the mixed saw 2 more sets going Cohuna’s way closing out the day with a 65 to 57 games win to Cohuna. Well done to Harrison Cleave and Paul Lacy for winning all their sets for the day.

Round 4 – Juniors Cohuna Gold vs Kerang
The Gold Juniors were able to manage a win this week against strong opposition at Kerang. The singles games wound up with 2 sets going each way and a three-game lead. It was the same in the mixed with another 2 sets each way and adding 1 more game to the tally. Final scores were 39-35 games with four sets apiece.

The Blue Juniors had a mixed bag in the singles with two sets each, and secured a 2-game lead. The mixed again saw the sets shared two to each team however the Cohuna score line was not as favorable, dropping 3-games. The results were in with a very close 1-game loss to Cohuna. Well done to Broden Wishart for winning all of his sets for the day.
