Cohuna Lawn Tennis - Dec 17, 2020

After two weeks off due to the weather, it was nice to get back on the courts working some shots across the net. The warmer weather has brought with it the corellas and cockatoos; which again have started to wreak havoc destroying the playing surfaces of several courts.

This week we were at home with Leitchville in the local derby, with both junior teams playing each other also. The evening function had a lovely atmosphere out on the deck and the parents even took to the courts playing baseball with the kids. 

Hotshots

On Saturday the Junior Hots shots program continued with one more week to go before the Christmas break. The kids are certainly having fun and we appreciate the parent helpers and support. 

Twilight

Another great evening at Twilight Tennis on Tuesday with all players enjoying the hit-outs. Twilight runs on a Tuesday night from 6pm.

Round 7 – Seniors (Cohuna Vs Leitchville)

Cohuna Seniors played Leitchville, in a more casual and relaxed atmosphere. Cohuna took all 9 sets for the day winning by 44 games. Mary was most successful for the day only conceding 4 games for the day, with Jason next; conceding 8 games. Well done to all.

Round 7 – Juniors Cohuna Gold vs Cohuna Blue 

The Gold and Blue Juniors played off against each other, with some great sportsmanship and camaraderie between the teams. Cohuna Blue won 6 sets to 2 by 18 games. Well done to Broden Wishart and Zephan Hensley for winning all of their sets for the day
