We are gradually getting back to normal at Cohuna GC and our course is in truly magnificent conditions. 

Whilst the weather is somewhat cool, it must be said that we are being treated to fantastic golfing conditions.

Thursday, June 4 – R&R competition was taken out by Mickey Russell (38) from Alan Moloney on countback from Bruce Winship (37) and Lee Lucas (35). NTP went to Alan Moloney, Ruff Farrant, Peter Richardson and Geoff Hall.

Saturday 5/6 saw a strong contingent of visitors but the locals prevailed with Dom Baxter, playing off single figures for the first time (9), take out the prize with 39. Rob Wilson (38) just missed out with Bruce Bird and Lee Lucas coming in with 37. Lee was really hoping to take out the main prize in an attempt to recoup some of the expense of all his new equipment! A new ball will have to do as Lee was NTP on the 2nd, with Ray Marsh, Phil Smith and Dom Baxter also rewarded for accuracy.

Sunday was a 4BBB mixed comp with Bruce and Marg Winship taking the prize with 48 from Liz Thynne and Lee Lucas with 43. The men’s Stableford saw Scott Carmichael win on countback from Brian Roberts with 37 points. NTP’s went to Peter Toogood, Brett Dye (twice), Liz Thynne and Lee Lucas.

Corrie Murchie took out the ladies comp and on yet another countback, Kevin Crane was victorious over Mickey Russell, both with 39. Geoff Miller also played very well with 38. NTP’s went to John Power, Kevin Crane, Trevor Farrant and Hayden Bird.  A special mention goes out to young Cooper Carmichael who played to his handicap for the first time and also had a better score than Dad! Well done Cooper, it’s fantastic to have juniors out on the course with everyone else!
