Another good night with 12 players turning up to play and eat some sponges and other diet food goodies that were brought by the players. Sometimes, I think they come just to have supper.
Back to the cards, Gwen Campbell, being rested from last week, came back fully fit to just get over the line from Sally Gray with a score of 3,430. Jim Bond made it two in a row with another win in the mens, with a score of 3,370.
The lucky door went to our president, Laurel, who makes those lovely cakes. We welcome back Brian and Betty Mcloughlan, and Betty won the mystery prize. Also, Doug Billman won the mens. The jackpot will be $10. The best call of the night was 8 hearts (300).
Last week, we got a thank you note from the Cemetery Trust after the club donated $500 to purchase some seats with our logo on it.
