Ten players came to play cards, which is down a tad, but next week will be better.
In the ladies, it was a close encounter when Iris Howard just got over the line by 20 from Lorna Johnson with a score of 2800. The mens was won by Jim Bond with a score of 3670.
Doug Billman had the lucky door prize and the mystery number of 1980 (that’s when Richmond won the grand final) went to Mavis Prout and Barry Stacey.
Now for the highlight of the night. The jackpot went off whilst I was away with a top call of 10 hearts (500) by Lorna Johnson and Laurel Stacey, and while these two were over the moon at the end of the night, the aggregate was won by Sally Gray and Jim Bond.
