Cohuna Cards - October 2, 2025

12 players again turned up to play cards and our sympathy goes out to Mavis and John for their loss last weekend with Collingwood getting defeated and no Brownlow either. What a week but I suppose they got further than my side. Sorry Mavis, next year. Mavis who gave the 1 finger salute to someone, took it out on her cards with a good win in the ladies Scoring 3190. Jim Bond, after a bad start going down 280 in the second hand by Lorna, who had the cards to down him. Jim won the men’s with a score of 3280.

The lucky door went to Laurel Stacey and the mystery number of 1650 was won by husband and wife in Barney and Betty McLoughlan. Some good calls were recorded with 8 Hearts {300} and that snake had a feast with Doug Billman, going down the gurgler to the tune of 480 in two hands, but some other players contributed. The aggregate winners were Gwen Campbell with a score of 14470 and Doug Billman 15500. 

The Club gave some money to the Leitchville Progress Association who puts out some news every week. It should be a quiet Grand Final as I have heard you may have to bring your own food as there is no Pies????
