Cohuna Cards - October 16, 2025

Another good evening playing cards, and a few highlights were had. Betty McLoughlan winning the ladies with a score of 2810. Our party pies person, who brings them every week, Jim Bond won the men’s scoring 500 with Betty McLoughlan, in the last four deals got over the line by 200 and his score was 3140, closely Followed by Tiger Des. 

The lucky door went to Jim Bond, and the mystery number went to Gracie Craddock and Barney McLoughlan.

Now for the highlights of the night, Dee Denton was welcomed back to cards and in one game teamed up with Sheila Joss and went 10 no trumps and Sheila’s face went white. Also playing against these two sharpies was Mavis who made the call of nine hearts, just before Dee bid,  and every one watched  as Dee and Sheila got the 10 no trumps. Well, 2 Players were yelling with glee as Dee said it’s the first time I ever got that 10 no trumps. So the jackpot went off, hopefully less noise next time, as I had to turn my hearing aids down.
