On a cold night, 10 players turned up to play cards. We all played each other a few times, but cards were the winners. Gwen Campbell picked up 800 in the last 4 deals to come out winners with a great score of 3750, and Betty McLoughlan with a Score...

The president welcomed 2 new players; it was a very shy one in Sue Aumann and the rowdy one in Cheryl Watts. Early in the game of cards, they had their problems but with the help of senior players, both players were holding their own. Laurel Stacey took home the Jackpot going 10 clubs and picking up $24.00, so Jackpot starts again.
Now for the winners. Yes, this was her first ever win and the fast-playing card shark in Gracie Craddock won the ladies with a score of 2520.
The Men’s was won easily by Doug Billman, just 50 off the 4000. Our lucky door went to Sue Aumann, the Mystery Number was awarded to Lyn Noonan, and Sheila Joss for the Men’s.
We are back hopefully for the next couple of years; many thanks to Sheila Joss for getting new players to play cards. Hopefully Iris Howard will be on the mend.
