The men’s players kept having a dig at a certain player, asking haven’t you moved yet and this continued for 20 deals, but when this person started to get good cards, he has scored 1,600 in 12 deals and come over the top to win easily – and this person was Tiger Des or Dusty Shelley, with a score of 3,110. Maybe card players should realise you don’t win a grand final only in one quarter. Maybe it’s a lesson to wait until after the game to make comment, ay? (All in good fun.)
The lucky door, Mavis Prout won the big prize and Sally Gray and Doug Billman and Barry Stacey won the mystery number, which was 1,870.
The best call of the night was 9 hearts (400) and it was the last night of the aggregate, won by Gwen Campbell with a score of 16,130. Dusty Shelley won the mens with a score of 15,200.
