Cohuna Cards - November 27, 2025

Another good night for our faithful card players who continue to turn up every week. With the 3 hander in place Gwen Campbell showed no mercy by scoring 3250 to win the ladies and Tiger Des Shelley greeted the judge with a great score of 3760 to win by 500 from Barney McLoughlan. In 8 deals Gwen and Des scored 1500 but came back to earth in the last 4 hands to only score 210. However, grinners are winners.

The lucky door also went to Tiger Des, and the mystery number of 1360 was awarded to husband and wife in Barry and Laurel Stacey. The jackpot nearly went off with John Walters and Laurel Stacey going 9 clubs {360} . We will be finishing up on the second Wednesday of December. This has nothing to do with cards but it was spoken about  by our card players and they want to know 1, can you still buy fountain pens. 2, When was the last you used them? I went for 1958 when we had ink wells and blotters to clean up the mess. The younger generation probably never saw a fountain pen.
