This week, 12 players turned up, which was good as we did not have to play the 3-hander. It was a family affair with Betty and Brian McLoughlan taking home the winners’ money. Betty always holds good cards and all of a sudden, Betty has a good bid of 8, which helps her score. Betty scored 2,840 and Sally, going down with 7 diamonds, no thanks to Des on the last game, came second. Brian McLoughlan, not moving around the table but scoring around the 300 mark in four hands, won the men’s with a score of 3,020. Well done, Tiger. 

The lucky door went to Barry Stacey and the two mysteries go to Mavis Prout and again, Barry Stacey. 8 no trumps was the best call (320) and the jackpot is now $20. Gwen and Jim going along   alright, but came to a sudden halt losing 440 in three hands and ending their chance of winning.
