16 players turned up, and a big welcome back to the players who were on the sick list. Iris Howard and Jim Bond started off in great form, going 9 no trumps (420) in the second hand of the night, and that start set them up to go on and win the ladies and gents.
Young Iris Howard showed the other ladies how to play, with a good score of 3,200 and Jim Bond won the mens with a score of 3,190. It could have been more, but lost 340 in the last deal of the night.
The lucky door went to Mavis Prout and the mystery number was won by Cheryl Dove. Our stand in secretary, John Walters, also shared the big prize. Jackpot next week is $6, just starting to build up again.
