Numbers were down last night with 13 players attending. Also, scores were down with the 3-hander used.
Laurel Stacey won the ladies by 10 with a score of 2,490 and Gwen just behind. What a night Brian McLoughlan had saying he did not have good cards but still managed to win the men’s with a very good score of 3,550. Then he followed up by getting the lucky door. But we are not finished – he also got the highest score of the night in the 2-hander, scoring 8 no trumps (320).
The mystery number was a high number with Laurel Stacey and John Walters getting the closest.
The 500 Club has a fan who picks up the paper and he goes straight to see what is happening with the 500 Club notes, and that person, who is in the village, is none other than Ken Bennet. Well done, Ken. You can see you taught your sister well in Laurel.
Jackpot is rising but Tiger Des had a crack at it going 10 diamonds and it came to the last card and the opposition had two aces left, and yes, she kept the right one and that big snake had a lovely tea with all the trimmings.
