Twelve players came out to play cards and have a nice friendly chat of what is going on around the town. Joyce Hull was up and running early, holding good cards all night and confident how she played with some great calls, winning the ladies with a score of 3,330, closely followed by young Iris about 200 behind. Jim Bond just got over the line after dropping 600, but the next four deals made amends, scoring heavily to win the mens with a score of 3,140.
Our jackpot did not have a chance to grow, with Joyce Hull and Doug Billman going 10 hearts (500), so next week, we start again. The lucky door went to John Walters and the mystery number was shared by Sally Gray and Doug Billman.
Our apologies to some players who turned up to play after we cancelled the night due to Anzac; I am sure we told most, but sometimes, people forget to pass on the advice.
