Cohuna Cards - March 5, 2026

Very happy this week as our numbers increased, and none other than Michael McGann (who read our notes), last week decided to come back after watching too much sport on TV! 

Whilst I am in a stirring mood, a few of us celebrated the birthday over the weekend of the lovely lady who can play cards. They tell me Cheryl Dove reached 80. Come on, maybe 50 but not 80?!

Lyn Noonan won the Ladies with a score of 3040. Lyn is a very competitive beast and not afraid to make it, aye, Lorna? The Mens was won by Brian McLoughlan with a score of 2950 to win the Mens but leaving it to the last hand to get 8 no trumps (320) in the 3 hander. The Lucky Door went to Doug Billman, (sorry Lorna, not this week). The Mystery Number was awarded to President Laurel and Tiger Des. The best call of the night was 8 no trumps (320) in a few places. It won’t be long before we take over the club with 3 tigers playing tonight!
