Numbers up last night with 14 players ready to have a good night. Sheila Joss, who only started playing this year, won the ladies. It was her first win at the cards, sometimes playing cards a bit differently, had a score of 3,180 to win by about 200, with Sally Gray in second place.
Doug Billman also reached the 3,000 mark to win the mens and also getting 10 no trumps to take home the jackpot of $8. Iris Howard, after missing for a couple of weeks, won the lucky door prize. The mystery number of 1,420 went to Joyce Hull and Barry Stacey.
We have our popular card sharp in Kevin Dove in hospital, but it won’t be long before he is back with his saying, ‘6 no trumps ay mate’.
