Cohuna Cards - June 6, 2024

Another good night of cards, but we nearly did not get to play as we had the wrong key to get in, but our president used her safety pin to unlock the door. 

13 players turned up and Sally Gray, missing for two weeks, came out a winner in the ladies with a score of 2,600. Jim Bond is in good form, winning again with a score of 3,390, closely followed by Doug Billman at 100 behind. These two players are neck and neck in the aggregate, but it’s only early. Our lucky door was won by Mavis Prout and the mystery number, 1,590, was won by Laurel Stacey and Sheila Joss. 8 no trumps (320) was the best call of the night and the jackpot goes to $8. 

Next week or two, we have another lady who has reached the young age of 90 and that being Lorna Johnson from Kerang, who loves her cards. She gets her son to drive her over to cards.
