On a cold night, 10 players turned up to play cards. We all played each other a few times, but cards were the winners. Gwen Campbell picked up 800 in the last 4 deals to come out winners with a great score of 3750, and Betty McLoughlan with a Score...
Eleven players again turned up, with a few staying away due to the cold nights. Michael McGann turned up to play cards, and then we realised no rugby was on. Fair dinkum Michael.
Gwen Campbell got home by about 200 from Daisy with a score of 2160.
Jim.Bond won the men’s with a score of 2640. The lucky door prize was awarded to Iris Howard and the mystery number of 940 went to Lorna Johnson, and Brian McLoughlan, who had exactly 940. The jackpot did not go off, but could have gone off, only for a mistake. At last Lorna is more confident now making bids, and, if Lorna asks for advice, well it’s up to all of us to help out, even in opposition. We are not playing for big money just a measly $3.00.
We would like to get more players involved and we can teach them to play.
