Welcome back to our cards with most Card Sharps staying home to watch the tennis or cricket and hopefully your TV is not playing up. Iris Howard had a birthday this week, turning 98; however, Iris is in hospital but will be back shortly. Numbers are down but all card players enjoyed themselves and we decided not to have a cup of tea, the cricket watchers wanted to get home. Gwen Campbell started the year with a score of 3350 to win the ladies. In the men’s Douglas Harold Billman hit the 4000 mark to reach 4230, easily winning the men’s, by the odd 1000. The lucky door went to Tiger Des, and the mystery number went to the lovely lady from Kerang in Lorna Johnson, who makes Beautiful Sandwiches. Barney McLoughlan won the Men’s. Welcome back to Lyn Noonan. A little bird informed me shortly that a retired Card Sharp has reached 100 Years. I will tell you later.
